 Auburn University® was established in 1856 as the East Alabama Male College, until 1960, where it acquired a name change to Auburn University®. Auburn® sponsors nineteen varsity teams in thirteen sports and competes in the SEC. The Tigers™ have won fourteen NCAA team national championships, won eight national championships that were not bestowed by the NCAA. |
